Collective Poetry About Miscarriage (Recommended for Mothers)
Collective Poetry about Miscarriage is a collection of poems for mothers who lost their babies before they could breathe earth’s air. Its aim is to provide comfort through poetry.
Collective Poetry About Miscarriage
Among the most painful things for a woman is the loss of her little pack of joy. It causes an agony so severe that most who haven’t undergone the situation cannot relate to it. In such a passionately subtle situation, it’s necessary and even recommended for mothers to grieve.
The death of an unborn child is among life’s most agonizing tragedies. Most people do not understand the pain that miscarriages bring, and very few do.
The loss of a child to die before they had a chance at life might seem unfair, or even cruel, to parents who feel a strong and natural love for their unborn child. These poems on Collective Poetry about Miscarriage are here to help.
1. My Dear Baby
There will never be a day that goes by, where I do not think of you.
I will always think about what you would have looked like
I will always wonder how it would have felt to hold you in my arms
I will always miss not having the chance to comfort you, soothe you and nurse you
I will always wonder what it would have been like to have you here with us.My beautiful child,
I know your passing will teach me to be stronger
I know your passing will teach me to be more anchored in my faith
I know your passing will teach me to be more grateful for all that I have been blessed with. For you my baby,
I will try and hold my head high and be strong because I was privileged enough to nurture you for those few precious weeks
I will always feel honored to have had experienced the miracle of carrying you in my womb.
I will never forget you
I love you
And I pray that I will be able to hold you, my beautiful baby when it comes my time to leave this world.
2. My Child Did Exist
I’ve lost a child, I hear myself say,
And the person I’m talking to just turns away.
Now, why did I tell them, I don’t understand.
It wasn’t for sympathy or to get a helping hand.I just want them to know I’ve lost something dear.
I want them to know that my child was here.
My child left something behind which no one can see.
My child made just one person into a family.
So, if I’ve upset you, I’m sorry as can be.
You’ll have to forgive me, I could not resist.
I just want you to know that my child did exist.

3. Angel of My Tears
How do you love a person
who never got to be,
or try to envision a face
you never got to see?How do you mourn the death of one
who never got to live.
When there’s nothing to feel good about
and nothing to forgive?I love you, my little baby,
my companion of the night.
Wandering through my lonely hours,
beautiful and bright. What does it mean to die before
you ever were born,
to live the lovely night of life
and never see the dawn?Ah! My little baby,
you lived like anyone!
Life’s a burst of joy and pain.
And then like yours, it’s done.I love you, my little baby,
just as if you’d lived for years.
No more, no less, I think of you,
the Angel of my tears.
4. I Did Not Expect This
This is natural, they say
It is all for the best
I cannot move past this heartache
This pain in my chestThose days were surreal
Did this truly just occur
Happiness turned to sorrow
My life now a blurThis is natural, they say
I knew I was going to lose you
The most difficult emotion
There was nothing I could doI am given no explanation
This is natural, they say
Were you pink or were you blue
My complexion is now greyTrying to move on
A forward step every day
I will always remember you
This is natural, they say
5. They Say Love Is Blind
They say love is blind, and you made this true
I never got to place you in an outfit either pink or blue
Never rocked you in my arms as you quietly slept
Not one tear did I get to dry as you sadly weptI loved you nonetheless with all of my heart
My world crashing down when we were torn apart
I dream of you wrapped in a blanket of a white angel wing
The Lullaby you hear is the comfort I wanted to bringI still hold you every day the only way I know-how
God doesn’t take my love for you this much he does allow
It is as strong as it would have been if I would have seen you
After my journey in life is done, I will carry my love throughIt will carry me straight to you, you will never be hard to find
We will be together, and I will hold the love that was blind
Looking into eyes that are mine that shows a soul I made
I will place you on my chest where you always should have laidThey say love is blind, and you made this come true
I will place you in an outfit either pink or blue
I will rock you in my arms as you quietly sleep
I will dry your tears as you happily weep

6. An Angel Never Dies
Don’t let them say, I wasn’t born
That something stopped my heart
I felt each tender squeeze you gave
I’ve loved you from the start.Although my body you can’t hold,
It doesn’t mean I’m gone.
This world was worthy, not, of me
God chose that I move on.I know the pain that drowns your soul,
What you are forced to face.
You have my word, I’ll fill your arms
Someday we will embrace. You’ll hear that it was “meant to be,
God doesn’t make mistakes.”
But that won’t soften your worst blow.
Or make your heart not ache.I’m watching over all you do,
Another child you’ll bear.
Believe me when I say to you,
That I am always there. There will come a time, I promise you
When you will hold my hand,
Stroke my face and kiss my lips
And then you’ll understand.Although, I’ve never breathed your air,
Or gazed into your eyes.
That doesn’t mean I never “was.”
An angel never dies.
7. The Missing Piece
Your first Christmas came without you.
You’re the unopened secret screams. We carry you in our broken hearts all-day
And unwrap you in our dreams.I see you in every bulging belly,
In every mother’s thoughtless kiss.I see you in empty baby shoes.
I see you in that, I see you in this. You’re in every “why can’t that be me?”
And the tears hidden in my car. You’re the missing piece of every minute
…I wonder where you are.You were here before you weren’t.
There was a future with you in it.Now you’re the broken parts of us
And the missing piece of every minute.
8. Precious Little One
I’m just a precious little one who
didn’t make it there.
I went straight to be with Jesus,
but I’m waiting for you here. Many dwelling here where I live
waited years to enter in.
Struggled through a world of sorrow,
a world marred with pain and sin.Thank you for the life you gave me,
it was brief but don’t complain.
I have all Heaven’s Glory,
suffered none of earth’s great pain.Thank you for the name you gave me.
I’d have loved to bring it fame.
But if I’d lingered in earth’s shadows,
I would have suffered just the same.So sweet family – don’t you sorrow.
Wipe those tears and chase the gloom.
I went straight to Jesus` arms
from my loving Mother’s womb.

9. Lullabies
Daddy, please don’t look so sad,
Mommy, please don’t cry.
I am in the arms of Jesus
and He sings me lullabies. Please do not try to question God,
don’t think He is unkind.
Don’t think He sent me to you and that
He changed His mind. You see, I am special
and I’m needed up above.
I’m the special child you gave Him,
the product of your love.I’ll always be there with you.
So watch the sky at night.
Find the brightest star that`s gleaming.
That`s my halo’s brilliant light. So Daddy please don’t look so sad.
Mommy, please don’t cry.
I am in the arms of Jesus.
And He sings me lullabies.
A set of empty arms can seem emptier than ever before as parents wonder what might have been. Parents should keep in mind that it is acceptable, important, and good to grieve when faced with such a tragic event.
