Short Poems about Friendship Awesome for Celebrating Friendship
Short Poems about Friendship Awesome for Celebrating Friendship.
Short Poems about Friendship – Being friends is about sharing with others our lives. Some aspects of our lives need us to spend a lot of time together or a lot of writing to better express our emotions.
Often it is more than sufficient to share just a few sentences. The long talk is not always the one that conveys the deepest feelings.
Longer modes of speech can often seem repetitive and lacking in scope. Putting only the correct combination of terms in a succinct format on paper can only touch the spot.
1. Best Friends
I promise to love you
When your jokes are not funny.
I promise to love you
When you have no money.I promise to love you
When you’re sick and all snotty.
I promise to love you
When you’re angry and grotty.I promise to love you
When you’re drunk and unruly.
I promise to love you
When you’re hung over and drooly. And I promise to love you
When you drive me ’round the bend.
I promise to love you
Because you are my best friend!
– Poem by Alex
2. The Cake Of Friendship
Preheat the oven of love
With plenty of secrets and hugs.Mix in giggles and laughs
That make your sides split in half.Bake with the love and care
And all the things you both should share.Decorate with the frosting of trust;
This is really a must.Enjoy the cake; do not eat it fast.
Just like your new friendship, make it last.
– Poem by Michelle Flores
3. Poem For A Friend
If I could write a poem,
I would write it just for you.
But I cannot write a poem,
So what am I to do?If I could write a poem,
I would tell you lots of things,
Of love and happiness
and the joy your friendship brings. But I cannot write a poem,
So you will never know
Just how much I love you,
And now I have to go!
– Poem by Maurice Boland
4. Golf Chat
Three old men on the golf course,
(Each had trouble hearing well)
Were playing a round on a breezy day,
When one blew over and fell.“Windy, isn’t it?” said one of them,
While helping the other to rise.
“No, it’s Thursday,” said the second man.
And they walked off to exercise.The third man had listened intently;
Now he chimed in, with good cheer;
As he followed the others, he called out,
“So am I. Let’s have a beer!”
– Poem By Joanna Fuchs

Poem by Muhammad Raza Master
6. Thank God For Plumbers
Two old friends met on the street,
Hadn’t talked in many a year;
“How’s your family,?” asked this dear old friend,
“I’d really like to hear.”“George has a Master’s in literature,”
The other said, with pride,
“And Mary’s a grad in modern art,
Her career she has yet to decide.”“And How’s Willy,” the first friend kindly asked,
While the other displayed defeat;
“Oh, Willy’s a plumber,” she sighed, hanging her head,
“But without him, we’d be out on the street.”
– Poem By Joanna Fuchs
7. You’d Always Be There
You are the friend, I could always count on.
Without looking hard, you’d always be there.Through struggles and fights, some from you and of mine.
No matter the issue, you’d always be there.I don’t think I thanked you, or appreciated your pursue.
Even if I didn’t want you, you’d always be there. So now that I look back, and am thankful for you,
I hope you know I’m glad, you’d always be there.
– Poem by Catherine Pulsifer
8. God Make Me Worthy
It is my joy in life to find
At every turn of the road,
The strong arm of a comrade kind,
To help me with my load. And since I have no gold to give
And love alone must make amends,
My only prayer is while I live
“God make me worthy of my friends!”
– Poem by Anon
9. Success
I hold no dream of fortune vast,
Nor seek undying fame.
I do not ask when life is past
That many know my name.I may not own the skill to rise
To glory’s topmost height,
Nor win a place among the wise,
But I can keep the right. And I can live my life on earth
Contented to the end,
If but a few shall know my worth
And proudly call me friend.
– Poem by Edgar A. Guest
10. O, My Friend
O, my friend,
What fitting word can I say?
You, my chum,
My companion of infinite talks,
My inspiration,
My guide,
Through whom I saw myself at best;
You, the light of this western country.
You, a great richness.
A glory,
A charm,
Product and treasure of these States.
– Poem by Edgar Lee Masters
11. The Scare
“My Period is late! Oh, no!”
That is what you say.
Simple friends will be worried,
Maybe for a day.But as for me, my best friend,
This is something I can not endure.
I come over every single day,
And check your bathroom trash until I’m sure.Day four rolls by,
After the scare.
Empty tampon wrappers! What a relief.
That’s how you know I REALLY care!
– Poem by Lindsey Staymates
Short Poems about Friendship – Friendship is one of the greatest treasures of creation. When you’re down, loyal friends are always there to make you laugh, they’re not scared to help you avoid mistakes, and they’re out after your best interest.
It can be hard to find this form of a friend, but they offer a friendship that will last a lifetime. Maybe other friends aren’t quite as caring. It is not easy to overcome the pain caused by a relationship marred by deception.
